Hey guys, my name is Mathew and as you guys have figured by now I am a fitness freak. However, I wasn’t always this way. You’d be surprised to know that I was and am a geek. I never participated in athletics and the closest I ever got to physical activity throughout out my formative years was playing table tennis. Now, I know what you might be thinking – ” He fits the perfect profile of a nerdy Asian kid who’s probably knee deep in science text books and plays the violin and has simply read a bunch of stuff about fitness online”. Well, if you just thought that you’d be shocked to see my picture (below) and you’d know not to stereotype again. Anyway, jokes aside, I did go through a pretty radical transformation, which has got me in the best shape of my life and the purpose of this website is to help other timid and shy geeks like myself shed their apprehensions and put on a healthier and fitter suit.
I started out really simple and if you’re wondering what my motivation was; it wasn’t a girl. It was simply that I got fed up being intimated and bullied and wanted to arm myself with a strong body and strong mind. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been bullied and called names, well, it’s time to take a stand. And I’m here to guide to do just that. But I want to know that it won’t be easy and that it will take time and effort. Like I said earlier, start simple. When I first started out, all I would do and honestly could do were 2 sets of 10 pushups everday. But I made it a habit to do them every day. And, that is the key, it is not quantity or quality in the very beginning, just consistency. Everything else follows; you can take my word on that.
