On The Dry Brushing Train

Dry brushing. So much info circulating on it right now. I love salt scrubs & exfoliating but never considered dry brushing because the bristles seem so hard. Is that wimpy?

Anyways, I read this post, and this post, and this post and decided it was definitely time to hop on the dry brushing train.

What you do…

+ lightly brush dry skin with a dry brush.

+ start at your ankles and brush in circular strokes upwards, moving up your body.

+ you want to brush in upward movements towards your heart in order to move with your lymphatic system.

+ when you get to your back, start at your neck and brush down in long strokes.

+ then shower to wash away dead skin and impurities (ew!)

* don’t brush over open wounds or sensitive areas like the chest *

What it does…

+ improves circulation & lymph drainage, helping your body rid itself of toxins.

+ stimulates movement of fat deposits (see ya never cellulite).

+ gets rid of dead skin cells & encourages the regeneration of new ones.

+ rejuvenates the nervous system by stimulating nerve endings.

+ increases the absorption in your skin by eliminating clogged pores.

Cool right? Plus it feels sooooooo good.

This post says to try it for 30 days in a row so I started my 30 a few days ago.

Do you dry brush?
